NOTE: Nola is part of a bonded pair and must be adopted with Chuckles (born March 2014), a beautiful Peke boy.Unfortunately no cats or kids as Chuckles is not keen on them.

This lovely Daxie/Basset male was surrendered. After a lifetime (5+-) yrs.
SIGHCY is the sweetest 6/7 years old boy. Loves car rides and love walking on leash.
He gets along with other dogs, loves running and is very playful.
We now need to find him a forever home.

Introducing BOESMAN
Boesman was part of family, this boy was found on the streets twice so Vaalpets took him in and contacted his owners. They came to fetch him, but when he got out for the third time, we couldn’t get hold of his owners.
Boesman has been at the shelter for months now and nobody came back for this boy. 
He is the most lovable and friendly boy you will ever meet. He gets along with other dogs and he is very good with children.
Boesman is a 3 year-old mixed breed boy.

DARCY hasn’t much going for him; he isn’t cute or good looking. He looks ok now but he didn’t always look like this and has endured suffering and hardship throughout his entire young life.
Darcy wasn‘t wanted and was one of the thousands of unwanted puppies in the township. He was sold as a puppy to a boy for 50 cents who took him home, but the boy’s Mom didn’t want him so he lived outside sleeping on the doormat, fed sometimes but often not.
This was his life. As he grew he discovered he could find food on the rubbish dumps and this is where we found him, dehydrated and malnourished seeking for food.
Darcy is 1/2 years old and has been sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. He needs to find a safe home where he can be the dog he was meant to be. He is a nice dog, just wanting to be friends with everyone, both human and canine of all genders and all ages.
Darcy doesn’t stand much of a chance to be adopted but we are trying for his sake.

SALLY came to us neglected and very sick.
She is only 1- 2 years old and had a miserable life until we found her abandoned behind a shack. How long she had been left there we do not know but we were alerted about her by kind neighbors who saw her suffering and were concerned.
Sally has been vaccinated, sterilized and microchipped and can’t wait to get out of our shelter and start her life again. She has forgotten her previous owners and their cruelty and has got on with her life.
She is friends with every one young and old, canine or human and is full of fun. She fits in every where and is a joy to be with! Her smile brightens the darkest day and her love and loyalty are priceless,.

MARGHARITA is a senior girl of about 9 years old. She is easy going, well-socialised and will bring nothing but happiness to your home!
They wag their tails, they lick your hands, you see the hope in their eyes… but when people walk past they retreat back to their kennels and all we want to do is go and sit with them and tell them that they are loved.
Our words feel empty and we wish we could do more! We wish there were more people that will give doggies like them a chance. We wish they can feel love every day. We get angry, we consider putting them into the car and taking yet another broken soul home, we want to do more, we want people to see them for what they really are, we want to tell them that they are missing out on probably the best dog they have ever had.
We know this… we have adopted “broken” dogs ourselves before, we know that they will slowly learn to trust and before you know it they will be your everything. You will sometimes go and lie down next to them, take their faces into your hands and tell them that you will love them forever. You promise them that they will never be abandoned and abused again and while you stare at them you can’t imagine that someone else threw her away. Your heart actually aches just thinking that she was in a shelter for years, ignored and now that she is yours, you can’t imagine that no one has loved her before… because she is your everything!
We wish that someone will adopt her and get to experience all of this… but they just walk past 
We don’t even charge and adoption fee. We just want our girls to have a family! They will add so much joy!
