REDUCED ADOPTION FEERODGE was adopted from us as a 4 month old pup in 2020.
2 Years later he was brought back to us as he was “jumping the fence” and the next door neighbors were scared of him.
He was then adopted again but 3 days later we were asked to go fetch him as he was not settling in and not the size they were expecting.
He has been with us ever since.
Rodge is a beautiful male Basschshund (Basset X Dachshund) and around 4 years old. He is a bit bigger than a standard Daxie.
He is a very sweet happy boy who does not like being alone so must have other dogs to keep him company during the day.
He also loves kids, is fine with cats and walks well on lead.

Adoption process
1) Meet and greet to be done at the premises by the whole family, this includes the fur members too.
2) Application form to be completed at our offices, along with copy of your ID and proof of residence. If you stay in a complex or renting an approved body cooperate letter stating that you are permitted to keep pets will also be required.
3) R100 non-refundable deposit
4) An pre-home inspection will be conducted, once approved the rest of the adoption fee of R900 is payable. This includes sterilization, first vacation, deworming and microchipping.

This super cute little Dachshund X boy is 12 weeks old TOM.
When they say dynamite comes in small packages they weren’t kidding! This little man has a larger than life personality!
He’s being fostered at a doggy daycare so he’s used to being around lots of other dogs of all shapes and sizes! A doggy friend is a must for him.
Tom has a bestie, WANDA, who is a 13 weeks old medium sized girl, also looking for a home.

Oh, poor little Mia! She’s been bounced around like a ping pong ball!
First, her family had to leave their home, and sadly, they couldn’t take her with them. She was hopeful when she got passed along to a new family, but things took a scary turn when the other pooches started picking on her. It was just too much, and they brought her to the Brakpan SPCA, hoping to find her a forever home where she’ll be loved and happy.
Now, our sweet office assistant, Mia, is helping Nadine with paperwork while she patiently waits for her special human to come along.

First one of the year – RETURNED.
Poor little STITCH was dropped off first thing this morning. Simply because “potty training was a nightmare” and “we just didn’t bond.”
How do we now explain to an innocent puppy that this is the reason for him moving from a warm loving home to kennels 
People give up way too easily and it’s these poor babies that suffer.
Stitch came from very hard beginnings. He fought a very long and hard battle with parvo and finally came up on top.
We were SO excited to send him off to a forever home…. But we are now back at square 1.

Little FIN is a sad little dog. We can’t get him to smile! No matter what we do to make him feel happy Fin, always looks sad.
His soul seems to have been destroyed. What he suffered previously one can only guess, but whatever it was, affected this little boy considerably and he needs to find a home as soon as possible. Sitting day after day in a cage at our shelter is not helping Fin to get over his deep, deep depression.
Fin is about 7-8 months old and is a small breed dog that won’t grow much bigger.
He is good with other dogs and humans young and old and joins in with other dogs games when encouraged but prefers to sit alone thinking.
Fin really needs to find someone to love him and to spend time with him. Fin is looking for love and kindness.
