I’m a mix breed boy and has been a Wollies child from 2016!
I’m feeling really depressed cause no one wants me so I only want to lay in my kennel.
This is me 3 years ago…. happy and full of life and interest…. I look and feel defeated now….
I’m sure that no one wants an old man like me, although 8 years is really not thát old!
I love playing with my furry friends, I love children but cats scare me.

Athena is a gorgeous 4 year old medium sized Dachshund Rottweiler blend in need of a new home as her family is emigrating.
This special and very pretty girl is very sweet.
She loves people and has a lot of energy for play time.
She gets along well with other dogs but she is not too happy with kitties.

She has Pannus which is an eye disease. It is not life threatening in any way and all that is needed are eye drops or ointment.

These girls are super bonded and need to go to a home together.
They are extra playful and energetic and always want to play with their toys or tug-o-war with each other. Friendly little girls who are very loving towards their humans.
Maggie is the one who LOVES chewing on her toys and Daisy seems to have springs in her paws as she can jump really high. They will need a home that has high walls and a secure perimeter.

Chase is extremely playful and loves running laps around the house with a toy in her mouth. She really enjoys playing with toys and have a game of fetch with her people. She loves balls and rope toys.
In the mornings she’ll ask for lots of cuddles as soon as she sees someone is awake.
She loves meeting new people.
Chase would do great with another small doggy, who can keep her busy. She is still young and needs attention and companionship. She doesn’t know cats.
Chase needs a little training with walking on a leash, but we are sure she will get it and enjoy it very quickly.

These 2 little dogs, mommy a Dachshund X and dad a JR, were found wandering in the streets and taken to a vet for safety…
It was discovered that Mom, an old dog, was heavily pregnant…
Dad, also an old man, had such bad teeth that he stank of infection and rot….
As they do the vets posted for their owners and failing this asked for sanctuaries for these 2…
Other organisations immediately offered place for Mom…but no one was interested in giving Dad a place…
How is this possible??? Is it because she was pregnant and there would be puppies later on or what??
Now if you could see how protective this chap is of his wife, how bonded they are, how she looks to him for comfort and protection, you would understand my dismay at this…
In the beginning, before they trusted me, he would sit in front of her, growl if anyone came near, always kept himself between her and everything else… they would eat out of the same bowl, even if they had each their own, sleep together…
Even when the puppies came she allowed him to be with her, he cried when I removed him from the room…
MICKEY, as I named him, has had a dental, has been sterilized and has become a happy cheerful old man…
He is amazing with the puppies and still never goes far without his wife.
MINNIE had her puppies, took wonderful care of them even though she had very little milk and we had to supplement them..
She was very stressed and timid when she came in but has improved a lot and is happier and more comfortable around people.
Minnie will soon be sterilized and have her vrot teeth seen to as well..
Now imagine what would have happened if I didn’t take them both….. They would have been separated, she with a chance of a new life, or just an incubator till the puppies were there and he would be ???? Sent to SPCA and certain death….
Why do some pick and choose, only take in what they deem viable/profitable??
This leaves a bad taste in my mouth…
Anyway…..these 2 oldies have become such nice dogs, they have never looked at the cats, are fine with other dogs…
They are small dogs, Mickey is smaller than your normal JR,
Minnie is also on the smaller side…
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if they could find a retirement home together, to spend their golden years together and happy…
Their puddings are almost ready for their new homes..they are one boy and two girls…
The puddings have had their first vaccines and will be available for adoption from mid December.
Mom and Dad could travel to the perfect home, the puddings will be available in Gauteng only, as they will be sterilized at 6 months.
